Maasai Mara Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Safari
The hot air balloon safari in the Maasai Mara National Reserve is a unique add-on experience to your Kenya safari adventure. You will be picked up from your hotel or camp at approximately 4:00 AM, while our team coordinates with your safari guide to ensure everything is arranged smoothly.
Upon arrival at the launch site, you will receive a short safety briefing before the balloon takes off at around 6:00 AM, just before sunrise. As the hot air balloon rises above the Mara plains, enjoy spectacular aerial views of the landscape and wildlife below. The early morning is an ideal time to see animals, especially predators such as lions, which are often still active.
The scenic Maasai Mara hot air balloon flight continues until approximately 8:30 AM. After landing, you will enjoy a memorable bush breakfast with champagne in the heart of the wilderness.
Later, continue with a short game drive with our team before meeting your safari guide again. At the end of the experience, each participant receives a personalized certificate confirming their hot air balloon safari experience in the Maasai Mara.
Itinerary
4:00 AM: Early morning pickup from your hotel or camp and transfer to the hot air balloon launch site.
6:00 AM: Safety briefing followed by a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Maasai Mara, offering spectacular aerial views of the plains and wildlife.
8:30 AM: Land and enjoy a bush breakfast with champagne in the wilderness.
After breakfast: Continue with a short game drive before meeting your safari guide again.
